The Lincoln Junior High Wrestlers defeated Edgewood Middle school from Warsaw  by a score of 96-25 on Thursday.

On Saturday the young Rockie Wrestlers won the Indian Springs Tournament going 4-0 on the day.  In round 1 they defeated Lakeland 90-9, round 2 was a barn burner with East Noble falling 46-45.  Round 3 saw Lincoln win 63-30 over Adams Central and in round 4 host school Indian Springs (Columbia City) fell 69-21.
On Sunday 3 Lincoln Wrestlers competed in the Indiana Middle School State finals at New Castle High school.   Grady Mahoney and Fernando Rebollo both wrestled well but fell to stiff competition before placing.   7th Grader Graham Calhoun placed 6th in a weight class that held 57 of the states top 13-15 year olds.  Calhoun was 8-3 on the day defeating the 2nd place finisher 2-1 but losing 2 matches in overtime and 1 match by a tight score of 4-2.  He was the only 7th grader to place in the 110 lb. weight class
The Lincoln wrestlers are back in action tomorrow vs Wawasee at home.  The match will take place at 5 pm.
