A Plymouth man was arrested by Bourbon Police Officer Matt Geiger Sunday morning following a traffic stop on Lincoln Highway west of Gunwood Road about 4:15.
Officer Geiger noticed a vehicle ahead of him on Lincoln Highway put on the breaks, then reverse lights and then all the lights on the vehicle went out. The officer approached the vehicle and found the driver, Thomas K. Biggs of Plymouth who said his vehicle was acting up.
Officer Geiger smelled alcohol coming from the vehicle and it was found that Mr. Biggs had been drinking. He agreed to a field sobriety test but refused a certified chemical test.
Mr. Biggs was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in for Operating While Intoxicated and held on a $1,500 cash bond.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation. Every defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.
