Plymouth_Logo_2014On Monday night the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety was able to give final award notice to the three companies who were tentatively awarded projects in the Ledyard Water Treatment Plant improvement project.

Thieneman Construction from Westfield was awarded the bid to complete the Ledyard Water Treatment Plant.  Thieneman’s base bid was $3,132,000.  The water main extension project from LaPorte Street under the Yellow River to Oak Hill Avenue was awarded to Haskins Underground with a low bid of $439,607.   Michiana Contracting was the only bidder for the storage pole barn.  Their bid was $251,380.  Construction for the three components of the project comes to $3,822,987.

Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson said the financing was successfully completed with the issuance of the bond issue.  He also noted that 2008 bond that was refunded in the project will save the city $565,000.

The board also approved invoice number four in the amount of $15,728.80 for SEH for design work on phase II of the Greenway Trail.
