OWIOn Friday, May 29th Marshall County Dispatch advised of an accident on Lincoln Highway east of Hawthorn Road.  A white Cadillac ran over some mailboxes and the drive was seen leaving the scene on foot heading east.

Officer Matt Geiger with the Bourbon Police Department located the male subject lying next to a field on 11A Road.   The male was identified at Ryan S. Hernandez of Bourbon.  He refused any tests by police and was transported to the hospital where a search warrant was signed by a judge for a blood sample.

Mr. Hernandez’s Blood Alcohol Content tested at .18%.  He was taken into custody and booked into the Marshall County Jail for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and operating while intoxicated and held on a $1500 cash bond.

Officer Geiger was assisted at the scene by Marshall County Officer Brandon Cooper and Rob Hafke.
