Early Sunday morning, Bourbon Police Officer Matt Geiger stopped a 2006 Lexus for speeding on US 30 at Gumwood Road. The driver, identified through his passport was Mairo Isabel Santos Lobo of Waukegan IL was found to have never obtained a driver’s license.
Santos Lobo was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on a $750 cash bond. The bond amount is tripled due to the fact of him being an out-of-state resident. Ten hours after being incarcerated he bonded out.
Santos Lobo is scheduled to appear in Marshall Superior Court II on September 22nd.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation. Every defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.
