On Friday, September 25, at approximately 9:40 P.M. Marshall County Police Officer Anthony Bragg conducted a traffic stop on a passenger car on 4th Road in the area of the King Road intersection.
During the course of the investigation the driver, 32 year old Ryan P. Byrne of Bremen was determined to have a suspended driver’s license and to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Further investigation lead to the discovery of marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia, and other controlled substances to be in the vehicle.
Ryan P. Byrne was arrested and lodged in the Marshall County Jail on the charges of Operating While Intoxicated – Prior, Operating While Intoxicated – Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
