Bremen Police Chief Matt Hassel released his departmental activity report for June 12th through June 18th.
Bremen police officers issued a total of 52 traffic warnings during the week and 18 traffic citations.
Officers also make a total of six arrests. On June 13th Jesus Morales-Rivera of Chicago was taken into custody for operator never licensed, operating without financial responsibility and a child restraint violation. On June 14th Christopher Johnson of South Bend was arrested for operating while intoxicated endangering a person, operating while intoxicated .15% or higher and possession of paraphernalia. Skylar Gaines of Bremen was arrested on June 15th for driving while suspended with a prior charge and on the 17th Tyler Hochstetler of Bourbon was incarcerated for driving while suspended with a prior charge and operating without financial responsibility. Also on the 17th Chelsi Clevenger of Nappanee was arrested for driving while suspended with a prior, operator never licensed and a child restraint violation and on the 18th Jose Mendoza-Alonzo of Plymouth was taken into custody for operator never licensed and a suspended infraction.
Bremen Police also assisted with a fire call at 515 Copperfield Way, Southwire. It ended up being a false alarm.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation. Every defendant is presumed innocent until or unless prove guilty.
