The weekly Bremen Police Department activity report for May 22nd through May 28th has 34 traffic warning being issued and 28 traffic citations being issued by Bremen officers.
Bremen Police investigate two crashes last week, on the 22nd at Marshall and West Maple Street. This was a personal injury accident and on the 26th a property damage accident at South and Baltimore Streets.
Bremen officers made 4 arrests during this activity period. On May 22nd Skyler Krull of Bremen was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for fines and costs. On the 24th Chad Barts of Bremen was arrested for possession of paraphernalia, resisting law enforcement and battery of law enforcement. Kenneth Hochstetler of Bremen was arrested on a warrant through Saint Joseph County on May 26th and they also arrested Martin Guzman from South Bend for driving after being declared a habitual traffic violator.
Bremen police officers also assisted on three fire calls; on the 22nd they assisted Saint Joseph County for a crash with injuries at State Road 331 and Riley Road. They also were dispatched to 926 West North Street on May 28th for a large amount of smoke and they went to a fire alarm at the Bremen Senior Center.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation. Every defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.
