The Bremen Police Department Activity Report for December 4th to the 10th was released on Friday.
Bremen officers issued a total of 39 traffic warnings and 9 traffic citations during the reporting period.
Bremen police investigated four traffic accidents including on the 5th at the Marathon Gas Station at 224 West Plymouth Street. There were three more property damage accidents. On December 7th at the Post Office at 201 North Center Street, at the Bremen High School on the 9th and on the 10th at the intersection of US 6 at the ease junction with SR 106.
Bremen officers arrested five during the reporting period. Layne Manns of Plymouth was arrested on December 4th for Operating While Intoxicated Endangering, Operating While Intoxicated on a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Scheduled II Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana. Joseph Ouellette of Goshen was arrested for Driving While Suspended with a Prior Charge on the 6th and that same day Brandon Bickle of Nappanee was arrested for Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Driving While Suspended after a prior Offense and Operator Never Licensed. On December 8th Allen W. Chartier of Bremen was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated and on the 10th Richard Bonnell of Plymouth was arrested for Battery, Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication While Endangering.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation. Every defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.
