Bremen’s Police Chief, Matt Hassel reported on his department’s activity for July 10th through the 16th. The Bremen Police Department issued a total of45 traffic warnings and 4 traffic citations.
On July 15th Bremen officers responded to two property damage accidents, in the 200 block of West Plymouth Street and at 1215 West Dewey Street. They also responded to a personal injury accident at State Road 331 and 2B Road.
Bremen officers made three arrests during the reporting period. On July 11th Danny Kessler of South Bend was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated and on the 15th Jackie Davis of Bremen was also arrested for OWI. On July 16th Victor Mills of Bremen was arrested for a Violation of Home Detention.
The Bremen Fire Department had a number of calls during the reporting period. On July 13th they were dispatched to assist Nappanee with a barn fire and they also went out on a personal injury accident at SR 331 and Shively Road. On the 15th the Bremen Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at 1215 West Dewey Street and a two vehicle property damage accident at US 6 and Dogwood Road and on the 16th they were dispatched to do a stand-by for LaPaz.
