Bremen Police Chief Matt Hassel presented the activity report for August 7th through the 13th.
Bremen officers issued a total of 94 traffic warnings and 31 traffic citations. Officer responded to only one accident, on August 8th in the 500 block of East Plymouth Street. The incident was property damage accident.
Officer with the Bremen Police Department made five arrests during the reporting period. On August 8th Juan Jesus Murillo of Ligonier was arrested for Operator Never Licensed, Driving While Suspended and a Warrant. On the 9th Ashlee Yoder of Bremen was arrested for Driving While Suspended with a prior charge and on the 12th Troy Kennedy of Bremen was apprehended on a warrant. On August 13th Elijah Davis of South Bend was arrested for Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana and Laura Nelson of Mishawaka was arrested for Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Operating While Intoxicated Endangering a Person and OWI on a controlled substance.
The Bremen Fire Department had two calls during the reporting period. On August 8th they responded to US 6 and Beech Road for a grass fire and the next day they were dispatched to 2798 State Road 331 for a residential fire alarm that ended up being a false trip.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation. Every defendant is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.
