Fireworks
Brent Johnson approached the Plymouth Park Board this month with the idea of having a 4th of July fireworks show in Centennial Park.

Johnson has 30 years of experience working with fireworks.  He asked the board for details on the amount of liability coverage needed for the event and their expectations on security for a possible event.

At this time the cost of the fireworks is completely covered but he needs to seek sponsors to cover the additional costs to host such an event.

Johnson explained that his show would be not be like those presented by the Mad Bomber during the Blueberry Festival.  This would be a regular 4th of July show for about 17 to 20 minutes with up to 3 inch shells.

This would be a free show to the public held in the same location of blueberry’s.

Park Superintendent Mike Hite and City Attorney Sean Surrisi will begin the project of investigation the insurance requirements.  Brent Johnson will report back to the Plymouth Park Board with additional details prior to them granting approval.
