This Friday, August 28th Boy Scout Cameron Riddle will unveil his Eagle Scout project in Centennial Park.
In May he appeared before the Plymouth Park Board with the idea of creating a marked and measured route in the park so bikers, walkers and runners would know their distance. The one mile route will be marked at the quarter mile. Riddle said, “I hope my project will encourage the public to exercise and set distance goals along the way.”
On Friday the “Need for Speed” half-mile race will start at 4:30 and will celebrate the completion of Riddle’s Eagle Scout project. The race will begin at the Hoosier Old Wheels Shelter across from Bill Nixon Field. Participants are asked to arrive by 4:20.
Cameron is excited to have Olympian Morgan Uceny at the race to encourage racers.
