caucusMarshall County Republican Party Chairman, David Holmes has announces the date of the caucus to fill the vacancy in the office of Sheriff of Marshall County.  Sheriff Tom Chamberlin died in office on Friday, August 28th and the party has one month to fill the vacancy.  The new sheriff will be in office until December 31, 2018.

Under the rules of the Indiana Republican Party, a caucus will be held on Tuesday, September 29th at 6 p.m. at the Republican Headquarters at the corner of Garro and Water Streets.

Holmes said notice will be sent to all persons eligible to participate in this caucus at least 10 days before the caucus.

Interested candidates may fine their declaration of candidacy with the County Clerk or in person with the Chairman no later than noon on Monday, September 28th.
