Severe_Weather_AwarenessThe National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued the following information:
There is a slight risk for isolated severe thunderstorms this afternoon across northern Indiana. Timing of the storms are expected between 2pm and 8pm today. Damaging winds with gusts of up to 58 mph appear to be the primary threat if storms organize.
There is also a risk for an isolated tornado.
Strong winds can cause trees to be damaged which could result in damage to homes, block roads and downed power lines leading to power outages.
