DONALDSON, IN – Ancilla College men’s basketball team continues their winning streak with a victory over the JV team from Trine University, 101-62.

 

The Chargers, who shot an 86% field goal percentage in the second half of the game, defeated the Thunder from Trine University Thursday, December 10th in yet another home court defeat, making this the seventh win in a row for the Chargers and moving their record to 9-3.

 

Several Ancilla players posted exceptional performances for the night including freshman Anderson McCoy who led the night with 24 points, eight assists and seven steals. Teammates Don’Tayon Young and Alex Henn hit 14 and 13 points respectively and Franklin, IN native Dylan Phair added six assists to the Charger stats.

 

“We struggled to get things going in the first half, but we were able to open it up in the second half. We played really unselfish tonight and that allowed us to shoot an unbelievable field goal percentage in the second half. We feel like we are making a lot of positive strides as a team right now,” remarked head coach Aaron Butcher on the team’s home victory Thursday night.

 

The Chargers will fight to continue their winning streak on Thursday, December 17th when they play the team from Harry S. Truman College. Game time is scheduled for 7:00p.m.
