DONALDSON, IN – Ancilla’s basketball team snagged a close win over St. Francis University JV on Tuesday night, 84-81, upping their record to 6-3.

The Chargers played tough Tuesday night, with freshman Andrew Jones leading the team in scoring for the night with 17 points. Freshman Tre’Shon Heard (15) and sophomores Travon Brackett (14) and Andrenos Powell (13) put up a combined 42 points for the night.

“St. Francis did a great job of attacking us tonight,” said head coach Aaron Butcher. “We did a poor job of containing their dribble drive and getting to shooters. At the end of the day, we got the win so we will take it. We have to turn in a better effort Saturday with a very good Don Bosco Prep team coming in.”

Ancilla will play home on Saturday against Don Bosco Prep where game times is set for 3:00p.m. They will also play home on Tuesday, December 8th against Prairie State College. Tip-Off for this game is set for 7:30p.m.
