Plymouth_Logo_2014Two weeks ago the city opened bids for the 2015 Plymouth Mill and Fill Street Projects.  Five companies’ submitted bids and Monday evening the Board of Public Works and Safety awarded the project to low bidder, Niblock from Bristol.  Low bid was $488,550.

The Board of Works also opened quotes for the Freedom Park restroom renovations.  Funding for this project was privately raised but the funds were placed in the Community Foundation and the city is in charge of the funds for the charitable donation.  Due to this, the project had to open quotes in a public meeting.  Although three contractors were solicited for quotes for the small project, CMC was the only one to submit a quote for the project.  Their quote was $24,722.30.

The park board has already approved the project to the quote will be forwarded to the park board for their meeting next week to keep the project moving forward.

The Board of Works also opened Requests for Proposals for the City’s Gateway Signage project.  Three companies submitted: Vanadco Signs of Argos, North American Signs from South Bend and Burkhart Advertising Inc. of South Bend.  The proposals will be sent to the sign committee for review and bring a recommendation back to the board at their June 8th meeting.
