Plymouth_Logo_2014Monday evening the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety approved a new Memorandum of Understanding between the Plymouth Police Department and the Plymouth School Corporation for the Resource Officer.

The original one year agreement was put in place two years ago when Ted Brown was selected to be the Resource Officer and had a one year extension.  The amount of the original agreement was $20,000 annually paid to the city for the services provided.

The new agreement approved by the Board of Works is an annual agreement with the possibility of three one-year extensions.  The agreement specifically lists Officer Bridget Hite as the Resource Officer and the annual payment was increased to $30,000 each year.

The Plymouth Board of Works also gave Fire Chief Rod Miller to begin the hiring process for a full timer.  He was notified a week ago last Sunday that John Pasley was submitting his retirement effective immediately.
