TennisCourt_OptionBThe Plymouth Common Council conducted a public hearing Monday evening  on an additional appropriations for the Tennis Facility.

City Attorney Sean Surrisi said, “This is a continuation, the next step after approving the formation of a fund to hold the monies for the tennis court project.”

It has been determined that it is now necessary to appropriate money for the tennis project to pay some bills acquired to make the determination that the courts can stay in the same location.

The additional appropriations will put $375,000 from the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund and $375,000 from the Cumulative Capital Development Fund into the Tennis Court Project fund.  The $750,000 is the city’s commitment toward the new tennis courts in Centennial Park.

Following the public hearing, with no public comments the Plymouth Common Council unanimously approved a resolution allowing for the additional appropriation.
