City meeting will be held this evening beginning at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall.
The Board of Public Works and Safety will open quotes for carpet in the building at the cemetery and reports from the various department heads. The City Attorney will present a resolution authorizing the use of a credit card.
The council will be updated on research completed by the city attorney on the request of Mr. Kozuch for a “quiet zone” regarding railroad noise.
The Common Council will meet at 6:30 with a public hearing on the Tax Abatement request of WestRock and consider a resolution adopting the declaratory resolution designating the real estate to be within a economic revitalization area.
The Council will also considered on third reading an ordinance amendment to the 2016 Salary Ordinance as it addresses a proposed change in the fire department work schedule. They will also consider on 2nd and 3rd reading the 2016 salary ordinance for elected officials.
During the council meeting they will hear on first reading the 2016 fee schedule for the park department and Jerry Chavez from the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation will present his year-end report.
The meetings are open to the public but comments and questions are limited to agenda items only.
