ArrestedA traffic stop Thursday morning resulted in the arrest of two people from Saint Joseph County.

Plymouth Police Officer John Weir initiated a traffic stop about 9:45 in the 1400 block of North Michigan Street on a vehicle that had expired license plates.

During the traffic stop it was learned that the driver, was driving on a suspended license with a prior charge.  Officer Weir walked his K9 partner, Jax around the truck and he indicated the presence of narcotics.  Drug paraphernalia was located with the passenger in the vehicle.

46 year old Thomas Ralph Hardy of Osceola was arrested for Driving While Suspended with a Prior Charge and booked into the Marshal County Jail on a $1500 cash bond.

30 year old Ava Strieter of South Bend was arrested for possession of paraphernalia with the intent to introduce a controlled substance. He cash bond was set at $3,000.

They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
