City NEwsLast week members of the Plymouth Plan Commission approved the  application of PIDCO for the secondary plat approval for a three lot subdivision on a 37 acre of property north of US 30 and east of Pioneer Drive.

This approval was the next step required for the possibility of a new State Highway Garage to be located on the property.  The property sits north of Pioneer Seed and is zoned industrial.  The plat has the dedication for the future 7th Road project.

With this approval, PIDCO can continue with negotiations for the sale of the property to INDOT for the highway garage.

It was noted that the plat meets all subdivision regulations but the drainage plan has not been fully reviewed and approved yet.

The Plymouth Plan Commission approved the secondary plat with a stipulation that no construction will be permitted until the storm water and drainage plan are approved.

In other business the City Plan Commission discussed the parking lot landscape requirements and decided to take the recommended changes to a public hearing at their February meeting.    There has been discussion that the regulations are too costly for developers and can make issues for snowplowing smaller parking lots.
