ArrestedTuesday evening about 11 Marshall County Central Dispatch advised of a possible impaired driver headed east on US 30.   Plymouth Police Officer Time Taberski was able to initiate a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle just east of King Road.

Three juvenile males from the Fort Wayne and Columbia City area were in the vehicle.  Two were sixteen years of age and one was 17 years old.  All three were taken into custody.  The driver of the vehicle was transported to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth for a chemical test.

The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated on a controlled substance and the other two were charged with possession of paraphernalia.  All three were released to the custody of their parents.

 

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
