Last month Marshall County Auditor, Julie Fox attended the state auditors conference and was given an Indiana Bicentennial Flag. During Monday’s commissioner meeting, Kevin Overmyer president of the commissioners read a proclamation that says Friday, December 11th marks the 199th anniversary of the day President James Madison signed the act admitting Indiana as the 19th state of the Union.
The proclamation Overmyer said, “The Marshall County Commissioners do hereby proclaim December 11, 2015 as Indiana Statehood Day and the official kickoff of the Bicentennial.
