County News_logoThis week the County Commissioner appointed Betty Engle to serve as their appointment to the local Alcoholic Beverage Commission. Former member Kate May resigned during the September meeting due to health issues.  Commissioner Overmyer said May passed away last month.

Engle was selected to fill the position for the final months of 2014 and will now serve for 2015.

The commissioners also approved an independent contract with former Weights & Measures director Jim Wenino who resigned at the end of the year.  Jerry Huss is the new Weights & Measures employee and Wenino will spend 2 days a week for one month with him.  His rate of pay will be $11 hourly.

The commissioners also accepted the interlocal agreement with the City of Plymouth for a GIS Data share for the second phase of the Greenway Trail.  The city is working on the design phase of phase two of the Greenway Trail between Founders Park, Gill Park and River Park Square.  The agreement will be forwarded on to the city for consideration at their meeting next week.
