County News_logoLast week the Marshall County Commissioners approved the intergovernmental agreement between the county and the City of Plymouth for planning services.

Ralph Booker, the Planning Director for Marshall County and has served the City of Plymouth for a year now with a joint agreement that allows Booker to handle city business during his work hours at the county.

In early December the commissioners were asked to consider the annual agreement it was tabled for further consideration and research.  Commissioner Deb Griewank who has been on the County Plan Commission felt the Booker was getting too busy with both agencies to do justice to his primary job with the County.

Last week the Commissioners considered the agreement which calls for the City to pay the county $7,500.  The Commissioners voted 2 to 1 with Griewank voting against the agreement.
