The Marshall County Commissioners have decided to close all county offices from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 3rd for the procession and funeral of Sheriff Tom Chamberlin.
Commissioner Kevin Overmyer said they wanted to allow all employees to line Michigan Street for the procession from the Johnson Danielson Funeral Home to the Plymouth Wesleyan Church. The procession also gives the public a chance to pay their last respects to Tom Chamberlin.
Overmyer said many police agencies have offered their services of patrolling and dispatching during the procession and funeral.
All county offices will be open this Thursday from 8 untill 9 and then again from 1 until 4 this Thursday.
