On October 26th the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety interviewed candidates for the police position left open when Officer Ted Brown resigned his position to take a job with the Plymouth Community School Corporation. Monday night Chief Dave Bacon requested permission to extend a conditional offer of employment to Chad Beatty. The board unanimously approved the request.
Board member Don Ecker commented to the chief, “I just wanted to compliment the Chief and the team from the police department for bringing this list of candidates to us. I thought they were all exceptional.”
Plymouth Fire Chief Rod Miller told members of the Board of Public Works and Safety that full-time fire candidate, Jesus (Chuy) Garcia’s paperwork is in Indianapolis at the pension office. Miller said they anticipate getting the results back within the next couple of weeks.
