County Building_2Members of the Marshall County Council will consider suggested description changes for several positions in Court Services, the Extension Office and Soil and Water.

Soil and Water will seek an additional appropriation and Karen Richey will ask for an additional for a new copier.  Deb VanDeMark will seek a personnel replacement and so will Sheriff Chamberlin, Annette Osborn from WIC, and the Health Department.

At 10 a.m. Stephanie Thomas is scheduled to discuss her thoughts and concern on the LOHUT and Wheel Tax for Marshall County.  Last week the commissioners motioned their support following a presentation by the Highway Department on the 2015 Road Plan although it’s the County Council who would implement the new tax when and if they felt it was justified.  The new taxes could not be considered without a public hearing which is not on the May agenda.

The highway department will have the opportunity to present the 2015 Road Plan and they will make a recommendation to the Council on the LOHUT and Wheel Tax.

Also on the agenda is additional and transfers although they are not spelled out specifically.

The County Council meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.  Public comment is limited to the first order of business.
