Marshall County Police Officer Robert Hafke is investigating a single vehicle accident that occurred Sunday evening at 8:30 on 20th Road west of Birch Road.
The adult male operator of a moped traveling eastbound on 20th Road west of Birch Road struck a pothole in the roadway, lost control and crashed causing injury to himself and a male passenger. The passenger was able to use the moped and transported the original operator to a residence along the 19,000 block of Birch Road where a 911 call was placed.
One of the injured was transported to the hospital in Warsaw and the other was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
The names of those involved are not being released at this time as the crash remains under investigation.
