WINAMAC, IN – Winamac High School graduate Stephanie Crist recently signed her National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Letter of Intent to play women’s golf at Ancilla College.

            Crist played three years of high school golf for the Warriors. During her golf career, she received several awards including; Midwest Conference All Conference Honorable Mention (2013-14), Midwest Conference Academic All-Conference, Midwest Conference All Conference (2014-15), and Bi-County Individual Top 5 (2013-14, 2014-15). Her team was also Bi-County Champions in 2014-15 and Midwest Conference Champions in 2014-15.

            Outside of golf, Crist played four years of high school basketball where her team was sectional champions in 2013-14 and she received Midwest Conference All Conference. She was also a four year softball player for the Warriors and her team was sectional champions in 2013-14.

            Crist was also active in various activities outside of athletics including Sunshine Society (4 years), Future Farmers of America (3 years), student council (2 years) and Students Against Drunk Driving (1year).

            “It’s a small hands-on class site, which appealed to me,” said Crist. “Ancilla is also close to home. I loved how everyone seemed concerned about my future and how I’m doing.”

            “I am so excited to have Stephanie as the very first women’s golfer at Ancilla College,” commented Ancilla College head women’s golf coach Marc Green. “Stephanie is an excellent student and a great leader; those are qualities we are looking for in starting a golf program.
