Town ConventionThis Monday, August 3rd at noon is the deadline for filing declarations of candidacy for a party’s town convention for office seats in a town with a population of less than 3,500. Argos, Bourbon Culver and LaPaz are the communities in Marshall County that select their candidates’ through town conventions for the November General Election.

So far the list of candidates who have filed as nominees for town conventions include:

for the Town of Argos Clerk Treasurer – incumbent Patricia Jones a republican, will be challenged by Lisa Marie Mullaney a republican and Kelli Leigh Vanderweele a democrat.   For the Town Council the two candidates are Edward Barcus  and Julie Stauffer and Craig Ellis all republicans and incumbent Dustin Jay Johnson a democrat .

In the Town of Bourbon, Kimberly Ann Berger the incumbent democrat is the only candidate for Clerk Treasurer.  For the council Philip John Hanley and Larry Wattenbarger are  Republican incumbents.

The Town of Culver only has republican incumbent Karen A. Heim for Clerk Treasurer at this time  and for the council Jean Rakich a republican incumbent and Ginny Beth Munroe while  Joel R. Samuelson a Libertarian is on the ballot and Tammy M. Shaffer a democrat.

In LaPaz Lorraine L. Dove the democratic has filed a council seat and incumbent democrat Roger Ecker also  filed for council.

Town convention must be held by Friday, August 21, 2015.
