DONALDSON, IN – The Charger basketball team faced double losses over the weekend in games against Vincennes University (71-95) and John A. Logan College (59-96).

Everett Norman and Travon Brackett led the scoring against Vincennes University putting up 15 points a piece. Andrenos Powell and Alex Henn also contributed to the Chargers score with 14 and 13 points respectively. Norman and Brackett also led the team in rebounds with a combined 14 and Dylan Phair added six assists for the night.

“The second half of the game against Vincennes, we played pretty even,” said head coach Aaron Butcher. “Unfortunately we dug ourselves a 22 point hole in the first half. When you play a good team like Vincennes, You have very little room for error, and we had too many mental mistakes in the first half.”

On Saturday, as the Chargers took on John A. Logan, Dylan Phair and Travon Brackett led the team with a combined 30 points for the game and Don’Tayon Young contributed 12.

“I was proud of the way we competed,” remarked Butcher. “We were very short handed, but the guys that did play competed. John A. Logan shot lights out and made it tough on us to get anything going.”

Ancilla will be on the road Tuesday at the Indiana Institute of Technology where game time is set for 8:00p.m. The Chargers will return home onDecember 1st to play St. Francis University JV at 7:00p.m.
