WolfgangHe’s one of the best sprint car drivers in the world, and he will be at the 2014 Night of Champions Plymouth Speedway Banquet at the Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth on January 24th.

Doug Wolfgang will talk to attendees about his career that included 107 World of Outlaw wins and over 600 wins altogether. At one time, Wolfgang, Sammy Swindell, and Steve Kinser dominated the sport of sprint car racing for many years. Wolfgang suffered a severe injury in an accident during a practice session at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas in 1992. His sprint car hit a wall, and the impact ruptured a fuel line. His sprint car was soon surrounded by a fire. Wolfgang sustained serious injury to his feet and legs. He recovered and attempted to race, but eventually decided to call it quits. Wolfgan, has since turned his focus to designing and building winning chassis.

Fans, drivers, and the general public are welcome to attend the banquet to help honor the 2014 champions at Plymouth Speedway. Tickets are $30 each which includes a prime rib dinner and stories from Doug Wolfgang. He will also sign autographs. The doors will open at 5 p.m.; dinner is at 6 p.m., and the awards portion of the evening begins at 7 p.m. ET. Swan Lake Resort will honor a room discount for those attending the banquet at a price $79 which includes the use of the indoor pool.
