Downtown_street scapeAt the Wednesday, April 1st meeting of the Plymouth Downtown Revitalization Committee, a number of speakers with expertise in helping downtowns with revitalization plans will make short presentations outlining their ideas.

Rich Davis, a veteran downtown planner and former President of the Fort Wayne Downtown Improvement District will share his experiences of building successful downtowns in Indiana and around the country. Aletha Dunston of the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) will be on hand to discuss State-level programming for local downtown development. Ms. Dunston is a community development professional from the Indianapolis area and is OCRA’s North Central Indiana Community Liaison. Darin Edwards, a Real Estate and Community Development Program Manager with the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, will discuss efforts to foster housing improvements in downtown areas.

The speakers’ presentations will be followed by a brief question and answer period. The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Wild Rose Moon, 115 North Michigan Street, Plymouth, Indiana—next to the Marshall County Historical Society. The Downtown Revitalization Committee encourages all interested persons, including downtown store owners and property holders, to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
