County News_logoMaintenance bids were opened during Monday’s Drainage Board meeting on four different drains in Marshall County.

J.D. Excavating had the low bids on three of the four drains; the Burel Ballinger, Leo Berger and Milner-Seltenright.  Beaver Excavating was the low bidder on the Albert Zeiger maintenance project.

The maintenance project on the Burl Ballinger Ditch includes clearing and cleaning approximately 6060 feet, starting just north of 14B Road and ending at 15Th Road.  The winning bid was $5,151.

Approximately 7,000 feet of the Leo Burger Ditch will be cleaned and de-brushed from an area near 7A Road and ending near 6B Road.  J.D.’s bid was $8,750.

The Milner Seltenright Ditch will be cleaned and de-brushed between 6B Road to south of 7th Road.  Low bid for the maintenance project was $5,997.50.

Beaver Excavating was low bidder for the Albert Zeiger maintenance project at $9,540.  The scope of work is to clear and clean approximately 9660 feet of the ditch from Dogwood Road upstream to the end.

The Marshall County Drainage Board also opened a construction bid on the Meister Arm to the George Bowser Ditch between 4th and 5th Road at Elm Road.  Two bids were received; Langfeldt Excavating at $21,420 and Lemler and Son Excavating at $17,388.48.   The project was awarded to the low bidder, Lemler and Son.  Completion date for this project is April 1st, 2016.
