owi-arrestJust before midnight Wednesday, October 21st Plymouth Police were dispatched to the 800 block of North Oak Drive in reference to a vehicle hitting a tree.

Officer Paul Stamper arrived on the scene.  It appeared that 36 year old Alejandro Rosas of Plymouth had apparently drove his car straight into a tree in the front yard of 810 North Oak Drive.

Through the police investigation Officer Stamper found that Rosas was the only occupant and appeared to be operating a vehicle while intoxicated driving resulting in bodily injury.    Rosas was treated and release from Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth and lodged in the Marshall County Jail for OWI.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
