Price (976x1024)DONALDSON, IN – Maddie Price, Setter/Defensive Specialist and 2015 Graduate of Elkhart Central High School has signed her National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Letter of Intent to play with the Ancilla Lady Charger Volleyball team this fall.

Price is the daughter of Keith and Penny Price and has lettered 3 years at Central under the direction of Head Coach Yolanda Stahl. Coach Stahl praised Price saying, “Madison is a very determined and hardworking student athlete. She has played and excelled at every position on the court.  She is very competitive and very driven. I am very excited for both Ancilla and Madison.”

Price, who plans to study Behavioral Science at Ancilla, added, “I think Ancilla will be a good fit for me because of how much the staff cares about the students. Also, I love the Lifeplex and it will be very beneficial to me!”

Price had 236 digs, 37 aces and 441 assists for her Elkhart Central team.  She also has been a very involved club volleyball player.  She played for NIVA Volleyball Club for 8 seasons, Network Volleyball Club for one, and currently is playing for the Dunes Volleyball Club.  In all, 10 years of Club Experience.  Volleyball has been her main sport but did play both travel soccer and softball growing up as well.

Madison Price has also participated in community service events such as Project X and Friends of the Elkhart Public Library.  Her senior year she received the Volleyball Captain’s Award as well as was voted NIC All-Conference 2nd Team.  Her junior season, Elkhart Central was in the ISHAA Class 4A Final Four.

Ancilla Coach, Lana Singleton, is very excited about the addition of Maddie Price.  “Maddie has a great personality, and she has an infectious enthusiasm for the game.  She has a solid skill set and has had some great coaching; I am super excited she will be part of our Ancilla College Volleyball Family.”
