WarmUpMarshallCounty1For 17 years, residents of Marshall County have stepped up to meet the need of those who may face Indiana’s harsh winters without the basic necessity of a winter coat.

This year’s “Warm Up Marshall County” coat collection is in its final week, with drop-off points at Oliver Ford, WTCA Radio, Morrow Insurance, Beacon Credit Union and the Pilot News.

Distribution will take place on Saturday, November 21st from 10 a.m. till noon and Sunday, November 22nd from noon till 2 p.m. at the National Guard Armory in Plymouth.

The coat drive was has been under the direction of Steve Keiser from Oliver Ford Lincoln in Plymouth.  After seeing a small child standing waiting for the bus with nothing more than a sweatshirt to keep her warm Keiser decided it was time to take action.

The annual coat drive encourages those who are able to do so to donate clean, gently used coats that will be distributed to residents of Marshall County.

There is still time to help, anyone interested in making a donation can contact Steve Keiser at Oliver Ford at 574-935-1001 for more information.
