MIller's_MemorialDay2015Residents of Miller’s Assisted Living Community celebrated Memorial Day with a luncheon of “picnic” food prepared by the dietary department.  They enjoyed hamburgers cooked on the grill along with macaroni salad and baked beans and a special dessert.

Following lunch musician Quentin Flagg entertained during an afternoon concert of fun rock-n-roll music.  His line-up of songs included hits from Elvis, Ricky Nelson, Bobby Darrin, Dean Martin and Tennessee Ernie Ford.  Precisely at 3:00 p.m. Flagg led the audience in the National Moment of Remembrance encourages all Americans to remember the sacrifices our soldiers have given so that we may live in a free land.  After the moment of remembrance Flagg played the “Armed Forces Medley” as the audience recognized those standing who had served in the various branches of the military.  Flagg ended his concert with several patriotic as well as a couple of gospel songs.

Flagg’s concert was open to the public as are many of Miller’s events.  If you would like to be on Miller’s Senior Living Community’s mailing list please call 574-936-9801 and ask for Anna Corbett or Cindy Flagg.
