“Up the Creek without a Paddle Float” sponsored by Plymouth FOP 195, and scheduled for this Sunday has been postponed to its rain date of Sunday, July 12th.
Rain isn’t the cause of the postponement but the high water of the Tippecanoe River is.
Hursher Hunter, President of FOP 195 said, “The decision to postpone our first annual event was an easy decision. With all the rain the area has received the last couple of weeks and the flooding conditions of the Tippecanoe River we knew it was necessary.”
Up the Creed without a Paddle Float is a family friendly float on the Tippecanoe River. Everyone will register from 8:30 until 9:45 at Tippy River Rentals, 2111 E. 250N near Winamac. The float starts at 10 and participants are required to use a kayak or canoe, no rafts will be allowed. Also required is a DNR approved floatation device.
Tickets for the Up the Creek without a Paddle Float are $20 which also gets you a chance to win a 10.4 Viper Kayak, that’s green. No if you don’t float but still want to help out Plymouth FOP 195 you can buy your $20 tickets for a chance to win the kayak. Call 564-952-0012 for tickets.
