Free_Fishing_WeekendIndiana Hoosiers can enjoy a day of free fishing on Saturday, May 16. On this day, Indiana residents do not need a fishing license or a trout/salmon stamp to fish the state’s public waters. Typically, only youth, age 17 and younger and a few other special anglers are exempt from the license requirement.

In 2014, nearly 2,700 people participated in Free Fishing Day events.
