The Culver-Union Township Public Library is excited to announce the return of IRS certified Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers who will be offering free tax return filing appointments at the Culver Library on Wednesdays from February 18th through April 8th. This free program is sponsored by the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide and the Marshall County Council on Aging. Appointments will be one hour long, and available times are 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 2:30 PM. The appointments will take place in the small meeting room on the lower level of the library. To make an appointment, please stop by the circulation desk or call the library at 574-842-2941.
Please bring the following applicable items to the appointment: Photo ID for you and your spouse, Social Security card for you and your spouse, proof of medical insurance, your 2013 tax return, Social Security statements, and any pertinent tax related forms that you have received. Some restrictions do apply. Free transportation is available to and from the library 10:00 – 2:00 by appointment within the Culver town limits, courtesy of Marshall County Public Transit and Marshall County Council on Aging.
