The Freedom Park committee has started a “Go Fund Me” page to help raise money to make necessary improvements to the restroom facility in Packard Woods.
The restroom facility is there but is not ADA compliant and accessible for those with Special Needs.
This grassroots committee has been working hard for a few years to build an All-Inclusive Playground for children of all abilities in our community and the surrounding communities. Phase 1, which includes the main play structure, is currently underway. The entire project is set to be completed in 3 phases.
Co-chairman, Tony Gamble said, “The restrooms that are currently in place are really old and an individual in a wheelchair would not be able to use the facilities. It is important to update the restrooms as we complete Phase 1. We have to have restrooms that are ADA Accessible.”
