The National Weather Service in northern Indiana has issued a FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY which is in effect from 7 a.m. Monday until 4p.m.
Freezing rain is expected to lift northward across the area after daybreak on Monday. Warmer air lifting northward should change the freezing rain to rain from south to north early to mid afternoon on Monday.
Light ice accumulations of less than one tenth of an inch are expected.
Light ice accumulation on roads, bridges and overpasses can cause dangerous travel conditions for motorists. Slow down and give yourself extra time to reach your destination. As another safety precaution increase the following distance between your vehicle and the care in front of you.
