WINONA LAKE, IND. – Grace College and Seminary continues to set the pace in innovative quality and affordable education. This has been displayed through record enrollments over the past several years. With the rise in enrollment, the college is again addressing the need for more on-campus housing with plans to break ground on a new dorm this July.
This most recent housing development is a three-story, 170-bed dormitory, located to the south of Kent Hall. This new dormitory will have study locations, community living areas, and will provide another residence option for students to choose from.
Grace is working with Design Collaborative, the architecture firm that designed the Lodge, Lancer Lofts, and the Manahan Orthopedic Capital Center; and the construction company is Weigand Construction of Fort Wayne.
“This new dorm will accommodate many more students due to our quickly rising enrollment rate,” said Aaron Crabtree, dean of students at Grace. “We are excited to break ground this July and look forward to having additional housing for the new students who will arrive for the fall of 2016.” Last July, Grace celebrated the completion of the 80-bed townhouse-style dorm called Lancer Lofts.
Grace continues to see a great response by parents and students to Grace’s cost savings and high quality Christian education solutions. For their newest program called Measure of Grace, effective fall of 2015, students who enroll at Grace as full-time, traditional undergraduates will have their tuition capped at the time of enrollment. This means that students’ undergraduate tuition rate will never be higher once they enroll. Each consecutive year a student attends Grace, he or she will also receive a $500 price drop throughout their time as a student at Grace. Finally, all textbook rentals are free for those undergraduates, saving an additional $4,800 over their four year stay.
