ArrestedA Hammond man was arrested Saturday in Centennial Park for multiple charges including possession on handguns.

About 8 p.m. Saturday Plymouth Police Officer John Weir and his K9 Partner Jax were dispatched to the Kids Kingdom in the park to check on a male subject who appeared to be passed out in his vehicle.  When Officer Weir arrived he spoke with the subject and completed a walk-around with Jax.  The K9 indicated the presence of narcotics and a search of the vehicle resulted in the confiscation of 2 handguns, suspected marijuana, scheduled II narcotics and paraphernalia.

37 year old Jeffery Zarnik of Hammond was arrested and two other subjects were detained and later released pending charges.

Zarnik was booked into the Marshall County Jail at 8:55 p.m. for Carrying a Handgun Without a License, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Scheduled Substance and Possession of Paraphernalia. His cash bond was set at $1,500.  He was released on Sunday at 10:35 after posting bond and given an initial hearing date of June 9th in Marshall Superior Court II.
