DONALDSON, IN – The Ancilla women’s basketball team lost to Hope College JV on Tuesday, November 24th, by five points with a final score of 75-70, making their record 5-2.

 

Bianca Maxwell from London, England and Khadijah Moore from Elkhart, both pulled double-doubles for the night. Maxwell led the team with 19 points and 16 rebounds and Moore had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Michelle Detwiler pulled down six rebounds and Daitriona Bonds added nine points to the Charger’s score.

 

“We really got off to a slow start,” commented head coach Tom Robbins. “This really put us in a position to play catch up all game. We played some really good basketball in the fourth quarter and fought back to take the lead late in the fourth but couldn’t hold off their last push.”

 

The Lady Chargers will be on the road on Thursday, December 3rd at Morton College. The game is set to start at 4:00p.m. The team will return home on Monday, December 8th to play Prairie State College. Tip-off is set for 5:30p.m.
