INDOT_Pink2015To promote the fight against breast cancer, INDOT’s LaPorte District, which includes:  Carroll, Cass, Fulton, Jasper, Lake, LaPorte, Marshall, Newton, Porter, Pulaski, St. Joseph, Starke and White counties, willhold a fundraiser on Friday, October 16. INDOT Commissioner, Brandye Hendrickson and Deputy Commissioner, Rick Powers have invited district employees to wear pink for the day for $1. Highway techs and mechanics can wear pink arm bands to show support, along with their high visibility clothing.
“I am proud that the LaPorte District can be a part of this battle to gain ground on such a worthy cause” said LaPorte Deputy Commissioner, Rick Powers. “We hope that when drivers see our crews out on the roads displaying pink it will bring critical awareness that we need to unite in this fight against this devastating disease.”

INDOT will donate all the proceeds to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
